Sipping suds to show support: Hops in the Hangar

Feb 10, 2015

In case you haven’t heard – the Delta Flight Museum will be hosting our inaugural craft beer and BBQ tasting event, Hops in the Hangar on February 28th.  Hops in the Hangar provides a unique opportunity to stroll through aviation history beer-in-hand.

For a mere $35 you get three hours of sampling delicious craft beers from 23 local and national breweries in addition to delicious bites provided by LowCountry catering and live music. This is an event you won’t want to miss!

As a valued Delta partner, we were excited to have SweetWater as our first brewery to sign up to participate in Hops in the Hangar!

The event has been welcomed with much excitement, in fact we sold out of First Class tickets and exceeded our original attendance goal in a matter of days. While Economy tickets are still available, we do expect to sell out in advance of the event so don't wait to purchase your tickets!

We attended the Hops in the Hangar event last weekend.  Overall, we had a great time.  The exhibits are great, and the beer was great.

The food was a different story.  My impression was that there would actually be food available to eat.  I had to fight other attendees to get a tiny bbq slider.  It was good, but totally insufficient.  I expect that many attendees were not able to get *anything* at all to eat, which is problematic given that pretty much everybody is drinking beer.

Next time, either have food for sale, or make it clear that there really is only food for first class ticket holders.
