Although the Museum is a nonprofit organization separate from Delta Air Lines, we are devoted to preserving and presenting the history of Delta and the airlines that have merged with Delta in the past. We are working on new exhibits and projects, and we need your help. Whether you’re an employee or retiree, an aviation buff, or are just interested in honoring someone you care about, please consider making the Delta Air Transport Heritage Museum a part of your charitable contributions. Donating is easy and tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. If you are a Delta employee or retiree, you also have the option to payroll deduct as little as $5 a paycheck. Help make history! Be a part of creating the first Northwest Airlines collections at the Delta Air Transport Heritage Museum.

NW-747 You may not realize it, but we collect not only the records and memorabilia of Delta Air Lines, but also those of the airlines that have merged with Delta in the past. Please help us build a Northwest collection and save the history of this important airline.

The Museum offers monthly interior tours of Ship 41, Delta's first DC-3 to carry passengers in 1940.

TOUR SCHEDULE:

The Spirit of Delta is open for visitors on Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2pm. Inside you’ll find two new exhibits that explore the story of this important aircraft and Delta’s jet age since 1959. Objects on display include vintage uniforms, aircraft models, and memorabilia.

In addition to Spirit tours, the Museum offers interior tours of the DC-3 on the second Tuesday of each month at noon.

Unable to visit when the aircraft are open? Take a self-guided tour! Tour brochures are located throughout the hangars.

Museum admission is free of charge, but donations of $5 per person are greatly appreciated. Anyone interested in visiting, but does not have appropriate ID to get onto the Delta campus should contact the Museum at (404) 773-1219 or tiffany.m.meng@delta.com.
