Worth saw Delta grow from a regional carrier into a global airline. Through the many roles in his career, he was able to lead Delta employees to help make the airline a leader in the industry. He had a deep respect for the Delta people and often referred to working with them as a privilege and an honor. Delta COO Maurice Worth and employees

Maurice Worth was one of the nicest, most courteous and endearing upper management persons that I dealt with during my 35 years at Delta Air Lines.  I was a Personnel Rep for Finance (including Computer Services and Legal) during the time of the Delta merger with Western Airlines (1986-7). Maurice gave us the essential mission of traveling to those cities served by Western to apprise the Western people personally of the new Delta benefits that they would now be receiving.  Maurice Worth cared deeply about his “Delta Family” and he had such an exuberant yet caring personality that truly made working for him a pleasure!

Maurice and I were members of the Fayette Presbyterian Church. I really enjoyed knowing and working with him in the church. He was a fine man and friend. I retired from Delta after 32 years as an aircraft mechanic. Maurice played a very big part in the success of Delta.
